          I’m a veteran that came inches from stepping on UXO in Baghdad. I’m now very aware of where I step. Haven’t stepped in dog poop in nearly 20 years.

      As someone from the USA, spending enough time in Cuba taught me to not walk unless I can see the ground right in front of me. I noticed once after a trip. I was at Home Depot with a friend. We were looking for an item, and when we would look at the aisle signs, I would stop walking while they kept going.

      I guess maybe people are used to having perfect floors in certain environments, so they walk as if nothing could be there.

    When we were young my lil brother would shit in random places just to cause chaos. I never knew when he’d strike but suddenly there’d be maniacal laughter from his direction
