  • I was being facetious to make a point. There is a limit to the amount of privacy that one can achieve while still residing within a modern society. As with all things, it’s a personal choice. Everyone has a limit up to which they are comfortable surrendering their privacy. You can be tracked and recorded even walking the streets in many cities, and in most retail stores. How far is one willing to go to be private?

As a father of three, the best parent filter is oversight, communication, and guidance. People want plug and play automatic parenting on the devices their kids use, but the honest truth is nothing beats actually talking to the kids about what’s out there, the dangers, the consequences, and guiding them as they explore. Keep an eye on what they do, and intervene if they start down the wrong rabbit hole. Good luck my friend.

  • Stop using the digital voice recorder and type everything yourself. This is the best way to protect your voice print in this situation. It doesn’t work well as a protest or to educate your colleagues, but I suppose that’s one thing you can use your voice for. Since AI transcription is a cost saving measure, there will be nothing you can do to stop its use. No decision maker will choose the more expensive option with a higher error rate on morals alone.
