I still remember when I was 7 and scored 19/20 in the weekly spelling test. The third word was “put” and for the life of me I couldn’t remember how to spell it and wrote “poot” knowing it was wrong. My guess is the photo is from Australia. The load on the roof implies it, and it kind of looks like Inskip Point, getting onto the Fraser Island ferry.
I could be way off and it’s somewhere completely different. But it’s a memorable vibe and part of the world I obv won’t forget.

Cash has been so uncommon in my country for a very long time. It’s like an insult to give a friend cash, like, “Here. This is your problem now.”
I think I used to just hold my open wallet in one hand and accept the cash in the other, slide the coins off, slot the notes in, and grab my stuff. I don’t remember it being annoying. Though our notes were polymer so coins slid easy.
But so youthful looking. Gotta be happy about that!

I don’t think you understand that, like always with the same old small minority of vegans that go out there being cruel to people, these posts are reactive to recent poor behaviour. For this reason, it’s unusual for anyone to empathise with these types of people, regardless of ideology, unless you are in defence of their antagonising of others; which is fine, just don’t be surprised by the ongoing discourse not being in favour of that position.
