I interpreted this as a criticism of the sort of people who make posts for the ‘brain crack’ of maybe learning to code one day in place of putting the actual work in to learn.
I think the fuel degrading is also partly why they don’t drive the whole way. I think in the HBO series they also mention how much fuel it takes to travel now. Not exactly realistic but they apparently thought about it
Typically when creating API interfaces you’d be better off marking the inputs as unknown, and then using something like Zod to validate the types
I love how Gemini is so sorry that it can’t help you kill children
Square handle bases are the worst!
Ah sorry, you’re right. I misread the article thinking they were all at or in the SUV.
From what I read, they didn’t shoot at the unarmed suspect but at their own cop car. Stable geniuses. I can understand why the sergeant’s actions were deemed reasonable though, as she was trusting that her partner was in a life and death situation and not hesitating to back him, the truest of idiots, up.
Absolutely, for many it’s nice to be under one name even if there is no legal need. I do think though that in a world where taking the male family name is not a default and anything can happen, double barrelling becomes problematic as a solution. You can only double barrel so many times! We need a new tradition that is equal for everyone and scales well. My favourite is what I once witnessed at a fantastic wedding. Before cutting their cake, the happy couple literally did a coin flip to choose who would take the other’s name. It was easily the most exciting part of the day.
At a press level, sure, and the same for the average user. Legally speaking these numbers do have significance, though. Amazon Web Services (at least at one time) offer a guarantee of 99.99% uptime for their infrastructure. That 0.001% covers things like once a year outages that make the news. A 10000th of a year is actually a tangible amount of time and not even Amazon is confident enough to ignore it.
I think brutal science is implying that while you’re likely right, you’re also being strangely aggressive and pretty uncharitable to the people you’re replying to. See your three paragraph response to a one liner as an example.
On a holiday to a suburban part of the States we walked around and counted over 10 different individual services on a single street. Blew my mind. I get what others are saying that obviously whether you’re paying privately or through taxes etc it still costs money, but what really sticks with me is what I can only assume is huge inefficiencies in these areas
It’s ambiguous, but the 👸 emoji solidifies it as a positive comment.
Ha. I just meant staring at the oven is not particularly fun. Fair dos on the decorating though.
Thanks for your reply. I can’t say I relate to be honest, I would always want a good amount of all of those ingredients in stock. I can’t really see how mixing powder with water for 2 minutes constitutes an activity for a whole afternoon either.
How much of a thing is using a cake mix? I bake often but just using simple ingredients that I buy separately, but cake mixes seem to be really popular, especially in the states. Is that true?
I agree, even if they are harvesting that data I’d honestly rather it was Google than a thousand little companies that barely anyone even knows exist and can get away with more illegal action.
Feel like I’ll get flamed for saying it but I use this service and I think it’s good. I don’t see the privacy concern. If you look at the privacy policy they state that they essentially do not use your browsing activity for anything other than ensuring the vpn is working. They also open source their client application. Anyone can say they’re evil and they lie or whatever but in my country and many others the statements they’ve made about how this works and the data they use mean something.
Is that really the case? Because you can still see all the songs and a basic set of chords without an account/payment.
