Thanks man. It worked.
Thanks man. It worked.
Yeah I was using Nemo.
rsync
Can you give me some guidance on how to copy using snaps rsync in CLI, please?
Edit: I just read the article you linked. I’ll try that and let you know
My snapshot is rsync on ext4.
Thanks anyways.
Surely just copying the files over should do the job?
It gives me an error ‘cannot copy special files’. Even when doing as root.
The article confuses me a bit. But I’ll look into it.
Thank you.
I already have several files on the drive which I want to copy the snapshots.
Won’t clonezilla replace everything?
Thank you sane person.
Thank you. Sadly mine is different.
There is no download page for this particular laptop.🥲
doesn’t even show up on Acer’s support page.
This is exactly my problem.
If you search based on your snid, you should be able to get to a downloads page.
Still nothing.
Thank You.
Thank you. Makes sense.
Most BIOS updates come with a firmware file and a .exe to flash it
Sadly in my case, iy doesn’t.
how do you know they exist?
Sorry, I wrongly remembered. It’s my other laptop which has a new bios update.
There’s no exe. They don’t even provide BIOS file in the first place.
they don’t seem to be of much help.
Classic corporate tech forum behaviour.
If you can get your hands on the Windows Update, you can probably extract the BIOS
How?
I can’t find the exact model on their website, it seems like Acer produced this device as a low-cost deal specifically for the Indian market and decided to just… not support it?.
Which is very dumb.
update .exe
What .exe are talking about exactly? Is there some exe inside windows iso?
And idk what clevo is. Maybe a mass manufacturer of low quality computers (from my low effort search)
What a joke they are.
Thanks man.
The thing is as of right now most Lemmy users are just tech enthusiasts. We want all sort of people to create a more robust community. I want to Lemmy to fully replace reddit in terms of amount of users, communities, posts and activeness.
Let’s just give Lemmy some time.
