Interesting man. I like your setup. My is a little less private (using social media for friends sometimes and in my case as a 20 years old gamer, I’m gaming a lot on my steam deck so different accounts. Also I need to purchase online, hahaha, I live in a little remote place without good physical stores). But very nice setup. I would maybe recommend using KeePassXC. Nothing against Bitwarden, but I learned in this journey that you always need to have a encrypted local backup. You never know when a service is going to shut down. Maybe use cryptomator with a cloud service to sync to different devices.

There isn’t really a reason other than security (sometimes works requires me to go to places where the security is not the best, the steam deck comes with me just to play during the boring times, normally I don’t use it for anything else then that but lately I have been thinking that I can do some important related minor things with the device. Just for the fun of it and see how much I can get out of it). I want something that i can keep a little protected for on the go. Seeing that i am not always around my main workstation. But when I was thinking about my options, the first thing that pop it up in my mind was Tails. But I’m going to look into Kali for doing this. Seems another good option.

But yeah, I could always just move from steam OS and use Bazitte. That one also have a better option.

  • Oh, this is good to hear. I was thinking first to change the OS to Bazzite a use full disk encryption (SteamOS doesn’t have it). But if Tails work out of the box then I could use it as my backup work related station. If the deck gets stolen then I don’t lose any work related or important related data. Thank you.
