What I didn’t like in the title is the erasure of the women’s name in profit if her relation to a (presumed) male: she’s not Amanda, she’s just the alchemist’s daughter. It’s a trend in naming books too. But now I see this whole thing is actually the subject matter of the book, so it makes sense to use this trend.

I’m from France living in Sweden and I’ve seen people not wanting to use self-checkout because it’s used to cut cashier jobs. Where you’d get 4 cashiers, you just get one person watching the self checkout. I’m personally ambivalent about because I do find it faster and convenient, but it is indeed a loss of jobs

Not recommending chest days? I’ve read that a chest day every 4 days helped with that specific issue, I don’t know how accurate that is, as you can find everything and it’s opposite online.

I read that what happened is that the workers on the coffee farms weren’t allowed to get coffee for themselves, so they started using these coffee cherries, but then, of course, someone had to take that away from them too so it could be monetized.
