  • From what I’ve seen you have crossdressers self identifying as trap (a subgroup of all crossdressers and I could see how the term would be offensive to the rest as well) on one side and people that are unaware that group exists and think trap is exclusively a derogatory term for trans ppl (or think enjoying crossdressing MUST mean you’re trans) on the other.

    It’s a whole mess as any offensive language tends to be, because words rarely ever only have one meaning and there’s also more than one language in the world but terms still cross from one language into others.

    Honestly as long as you’re trying to be considerate of others I don’t think anyone can fault you, and that goes for everything. People will try to speak for everyone, but even when they do speak for the majority there are usually exceptions.


  • Sure, but where’s the upside? (ethically, not sure if consuming your own meat could have some sort of weird effect on you, even though afaik the usual cannibalism issues wouldn’t apply). If anything it’s more ethical to take it from yourself because you consent to it, the farm animal probably doesn’t.


  • People buy cosmetics because they think they look cool and want to support the game they like. In WoWs, some premium ships are honestly hella fun in unique ways (while others are dumb op but of course some ppl pay for that too). In gachas it’s a mix of just wanting the character and gameplay advantages.

    Personally the stuff I don’t get is spending money on the mentioned match 3 games, farm sims, and casual mobile games in general. Which are a huge market as mobile gaming is, for whatever reason I cannot comprehend, the largest gaming market in terms of revenue.



  • Ive only played like 4 hours yesterday (not like it’s been out for very long), but I guess for just seeing if it’s worth trying that works.

    I think the strongest point is definitely the style it has going on - it knows what it’s trying to do and the UI and art style work together to convey that. It’s similar to Persona 5 in that way, and imo if P5 is a 10/10 execution of this, ZZZ is at least a 9/10.

    I haven’t watched the trailer but the characters are certainly quite goofy, so what you said about it going for more comedy seems accurate. I didn’t have any actual laugh out loud moments though, it’s more of a generally amusing athmosphere they’re going for. The dystopian setting isn’t ignored but the overall vibes are definitely more on the fun than the depressing side.

    Combat has been fun so far, both perfect dodging and a form of blocking (by swapping characters when the enemy attacks) exist and are rewarded by the game. The blocking in particular feels really good imo. The stylishness of it all makes it enjoyable even though it’s not hard (at least so far, there will probably be harder content at some point since that’s how gachas usually work).

    So far I like it a lot, in many places it feels like a lot of passion went into it (though I feel similarly about all the mihoyo games I’ve played) in spite of it being a gacha. If you like the aesthetics I think you’ll at least have a good time for a while and can judge the rest for yourself.












  • To my knowledge AC in places north of italy is basically nonexistent in private homes. Mediterranean countries do often have it though. Poland certainly doesn’t commonly.

    Fridges don’t even remotely compare to AC in power consumption, and inside temperature doesn’t differ as much as outside temperature in summer vs. winter because in winter the inside gets heated, and in summer insulation still keeps it below outside temps usually.


  • Ngl the people in the screenshot don’t strike me as white, rather western asian or somewhere around there. Not that I have much doubt that your average american christian cartoon just intends to make everyone white.

    This perception is very subjective, usually when features aren’t super obviously one group, humans just default to what they’re most used to out of what fits their general appearance. For example anime characters will usually look european to europeans, but japanese to japanese people.




  • I think my problem is that if you inversely asked why those are true, my answer would be “because 3 is smaller than 10”.

    I think I’d just write something like “1+1+1=3, 1+1+1+1+1+1+1+1+1+1=10, there are clearly more 1s in 10”. But that also just feels like a “because i am defining 3 and 10 this way” = “because it is”. Though now that I think about it, that’s kinda just the simple version of the university level answer, it works i guess.

    In reality I would hope anything somewhat sensible would be correct here anyway, since it’s more about making the child think about their answer than anything.
