Lightroom doesn’t work at all, needing either a reboot to launch windows or a VM that struggles with performance. OSS alternatives won’t really handle the size of libraries im working with from limited experience with them.
Multiple displays of different resolutions and refresh rates wouldn’t work properly (though I hear this one is becoming less of an issue with the new DE software)

Open Source has meant Source Available for quite a while.
FOSS is different than Open Source, and it’s a distinction that very likely needs to be made.
It’s not possible to use popular distros without the terminal. Anyone saying that is lying. Within an hour of a fresh install there’s normally 5-10 things I’ve had to use the terminal for because a GUI didn’t work or didn’t exist.
I’m saying it’s unfriendly because it has 0 protections for the user to prevent them from bricking their own system. I know that’s a positive to Linux purists, but it’s a huge problem for everyone else.
Windows can get away with a certain level of expecting people to know how their OS works. Linux can’t. With the different defaults it makes it a very unfriendly move from windows

There’s also the fact that windows is the default, and that can’t be ignored. People have been taught windows since they were in school. There’s less of a need for a ton of tutorials because the vast majority of at least the US have been using windows since elementary school.
Linux does not have that advantage and it is explicitly user unfriendly in most cases. Having to use the terminal to do things should not be required at all. Most users should never need to know it exists, let alone use it.
It’s for tuning
Trumpets don’t need it much until you get into the top end of the range, where certain notes are out of pitch. 5th partial is particularly flat, and 7th is sharp. Using 3rd valve as a replacement for 1+2 is flat, so you use the slide to correct.
Doesn’t really matter until you get to a pretty high level, are playing in a large brass band or know your instrument well enough to know which notes tend to be a few hz off.
Weather can also be an exaggerating factor, so playing indoors won’t have the same need
Lots of the AI related stuff is a big draw for current Lightroom. There’s also a lack of Adobe colors, which aren’t a need unless you’re printing a lot

Darktable is the closest, but it’s still missing a ton of features that are basic in Lightroom.
Lightroom and Photoshop are unfortunately good products with shitty licensing.
Stressed means you make more mistakes. Calm and collected, as well as relaxed is the better way to drive. You’re less likely to make mistakes or poor decisions when relaxed.
Stressed drivers are dangerous and unpredictable.
The whales will, and those are the only people that matter to epic and all the game publishers with micro transaction F2P games.
A handful of whales bring in more revenue than thousands of regular players. They’re the ones these games are designed to milk for every cent. The rest of us are just a bonus
Can’t sing along at the top of my lungs though, which is the only place I can because the walls of my apartment are too thin.
Driving to and from places is way more relaxing than being on transit imo. Transit has always been significantly more stressful for me and never lines up with when I need to use it.
I’m sure there is, but after a few hours of trying to get it to work it wasn’t worth it anymore and no tweaking was necessary to make it work perfectly on windows.
This is the 3rd time I’ve had the same issue. Major fps drops in every game played. This has happened over multiple Distros and multiple years. I don’t enjoy having to spend hours configuring a game just to make it run 20% worse than if I just installed it on windows.
Destiny 2 explicitly says they’ll never support Linux. Same with CoD. Older competitive games run without issue. Newer ones done.
Minimum acceptable performance for me is 4k/120fps on medium/high settings. (I have a 3090)
Anti-cheats block Linux. EAC theoretically supports it, but from what I can tell it’s a less secure option for both windows and Linux, ensuring a lot of devs never turn it on.
Also idk what it is, but proton performance seems to be ~1/2-1/3 of what I get on native windows for pretty much every game. Had to give up on BG3 on Linux after I maxed out at ~40fps and huge stutters.
Still can’t play most competitive fps games on Linux. There’s a couple, but the majority are still windows only.
My reasoning is that it’s way too inconvenient to need to restart my pc multiple times a day if I want to play games. Add in that my audio solution doesn’t work at all on Linux (GoXLR) that requires me to use a separate set of peripherals and it just becomes less of a hassle to use windows over Linux.

My roommates and I had a groupchat that was used explicitly for all of those things.
Planning on the group chat was about the only talking about activities we’d do. If something was missed in the group chat, that was on the person who missed it.
We paid shared bills. That’s where we did all of the breakup of responsibilities and money requirements.
Being left out of group chats will absolutely have you left out of day to day activities since they now have to go out of their way to invite only you, since everyone else already has the info.
No idea why you’re getting downvoted. Outside of the increasingly small desktop gpu market AMD is completely irrelevant in professional GPU use. They’re not even remotely close to being a competitor
It’s only easier than windows if you’re used to using and fixing Linux. Windows doesn’t require maintenance and troubleshooting for the most part. If something doesn’t work, you just restart and 99% of the time it does.
