Their methods vary but sometimes they all post the same low effort zero depth reaction comments as a strategy to build up karma without being spotted. The fact the platform is structured for popularity and engagement in such a way that this is worth doing (and polluting any regular discussion in the process) is entirely what’s wrong with Reddit.
