    L/hackernews appears to just be corporate media. No actual stories about hacking or the hacker community.

      The “hacker” there refers to the hacker culture, not necessarily hacking a system. HN was supposed to be sharing stuff that would instigate the curiosity of hackers.

      …in practice it’s just a bunch of Reddit tech bros LARPing as h4x0rz. And they’re extremely overexcited with generative models, so anything AI goes to the front page there.
