It’s almost a productivity hack.
You’re right, and even the Lemmy devs get this wrong in the docs:
You can upvote posts that you like so that more users will see them, or downvote posts so that they are less likely to be seen.
Note that it doesn’t talk about the quality or appropriateness of the comment, just that you can suppress it by downvoting.
I just woke up and this confused me
The Indian guy one is brilliant.
This is some weird throwback. Back when Lemmy was using web sockets (before Reddit blocked third-party apps) there was a bug where a page would update with different content, but replies would go to the original post (iirc), but it was fixed ages ago.
I love that track, thanks for sharing this analysis.
It took me way too long to remember about tails.
Rats definitely can (also for TB), and you can sponsor them to do so: https://apopo.org/

I’ve had that before and I’m very confident the password was correct - my theory is that they’d changed how non-ASCII characters like £ were handled and their code only half recognised my password.
I thought it was tuna (or other sashimi) with a little fat on it. Either way, that emoji does not convey my reaction at all.
I don’t often eat these nowadays, but if you remind me that they used to be called Opal Fruits they taste better.
I thought at some point they were calling 720p “HD ready” and reserving “HD” for 1080p. It’s all a bit of a mess, but that’s pretty standard for tech names, as well as the TLAs, ETLAs and DETLAs.
@snooggums@kbin.social Perhaps we need to bring over the Old Reddit Switch-a-roo.
In addition, the “Search Bar” settings in Settings > Search, which let you choose between using the address bar for search and navigation or add the search bar in the toolbar, is also gone in Firefox 122.
This doesn’t affect me, but I’m sure there’s going to be a vocal tiny percent that absolutely hate this news.

I was on a site that did that and was confused why my text search wasn’t finding much. Thanks devs for breaking basic browser features.
